The Chase sits high above the Onkaparinga Gorge on one of the oldest geological formations in Australia. Beneath remarkably shallow soils lies fractured siltstone and ancient rock that constantly challenges the vines, naturally limiting vigour and concentrating flavour.
Every decision in the vineyard begins with respect for this landscape. Organic farming, regenerative practices and careful observation allow the vineyard to gradually find its own balance rather than forcing one upon it. The resulting wines possess a natural intensity that comes not from intervention, but from place itself.
Onkaparinga Rocks is our deepest expression of this remarkable site. More than a single vineyard Shiraz, it is a reminder that our role is not to shape the landscape, but to listen carefully enough for it to speak.
