McLaren Vale Grenache

What’s Old is New Again…

Grenache is the variety that has taken up the biggest amount of space in our heads and hearts..

Perhaps no variety has been more misunderstood however.. Once relegated to the background, old bush vine Grenache is now finally being recognised as one of Australia’s greatest vinous treasures. We count ourselves incredibly fortunate to work alongside families who have quietly cared for these remarkable vineyards for generations.

This wine brings together a carefully selected collection of old vineyards planted between the 1920’s and the 1950’s from across the cooler climes of McLaren Vale. Each site is harvested and vinified separately, allowing its individual personality to emerge before the final blend is assembled. Blewitt Springs contributes fragrance and finesse, Clarendon structure and spice, while each season gently reshapes the conversation.

To us, this wine represents the contemporary face of McLaren Vale Grenache. Respectful of history, yet never confined by it.

Perhaps that's why Grenache continues to fascinate us. It never demands attention, yet somehow always earns it.

  • "There’s such detail in the wines at this address, so synergistically aligned with fruit and site reflections. Wild cherry, rose oil, white pepper, blood orange, souk spices, rhubarb. There’s much thought to layers, both of flavour and texture in this mid-weight wine. It’s a fine example of why intensity has nothing to do with weight. There’s exceptional drinking to be had here."
